Lara Darby
Hi I’m Lara! I am a passionate yogi, Senior Core Strength Vinyasa Teacher Trainer and founder of Rural Soul, a unique countryside studio in Worcestershire, UK.
I love to serve my community, from kids classes to clients in their 80's. I discovered yoga 20 years ago after a period of ill health & now am passionate about sharing all the benefits of this lifestyle with you. I enjoy sharing tips about alignment, breathwork & embodied flows so that you begin to light yourself up from the inside out and discover how your body moves and functions. I love to work with our own unique energy flows to find our authentic self.
I am also a mum of 3 young boys and love cooking, dancing, fashion, movement & life!
Life is a constant juggle and yoga is the balance.

I'm a registered Senior Yoga Teacher and founder of the Core Revolution Yoga Teacher Training School, which has its home here at the beautiful Rural Soul studio.
I've been teaching for over 20 years! Wow that makes me feel old but I can say that, without a doubt, yoga has been the constant in my life, through all the crazy challenges and ups and downs, yoga has kept me sane and happy!
I'm passionate about sharing intelligent, body-positive yoga and other amazing wellbeing techniques to help people find more freedom and balance in their bodies and lives. I love to empower women to be the best, most unapologetically awesome version of themselves.
Together we rise, together we shine!

Yoga has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but it’s only as I’ve got older I’ve really understood & witnessed the huge benefits a regular yoga practice can bring to the mind & body- it truly is the key to eternal youth!
Teaching yoga is a relatively new venture for me, I qualified in my teacher training 5 years ago & have been blessed with the opportunity to teach & work with my dear friend & colleague Lara, which is where my journey at Rural Soul first started.
I teach CSV Yoga, Restorative & Yoga Shred & have just embarked on my Barre teacher training course, which i am very excited to be starting to teach in the new year.
The goal of all my classes is to empower those i teach: for you to walk out of class with a smile on your face, feeling a little more ready to conquer your day & shine to your full potential!

Kates yoga journey started in 2011 like most people she needed an outlet for modern day stress and anxiety. Already being in to fitness one yoga class a week fitted her lifestyle and training. But the curiosity and passion became so strong after furthering her own practice over the years that in 2017 she obtained her 200hr Hatha yoga teacher training.”Yoga opened my mind to a whole new world, the realisation that its not just the physical practice we need to focus on but the mental wellbeing also, how we conduct ourself and treat other is part of the practice” She has furthered her knowledge by training in Vinyasa, Yin, Hot Yoga and Children’s Yoga.
“I truly believe that yoga can be found in everything we do, including your Saturday night G&T. The yoga journey is truly endless and a life long practice that teaches us dedication to ourselves, self love is underrated these days and something we need to focus on more now then ever

I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years, but it wasn’t until I had my eldest daughter that I started to incorporate a regular yoga practice into my week. I found that I felt stronger, fitter and that my mental health & well-being improved. The lessons I learned on the mat started to spread into other areas of my life and with two young children and a teaching role in a local primary school I made the decision to take my interest in yoga further. In 2020, I joined Orange Yoga and began my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training under the guidance of Ian Davis. Since then I have had the pleasure of turning my hobby into my ‘job’, teaching yoga to everybody! I have continued my yoga journey by undertaking further training in Pre/Post-natal yoga, Kids Yoga, Baby Massage & Baby Yoga, whilst on maternity leave with baby number 3. I truly believe that yoga is for everybody and can help us to lead happier, healthier and kinder lives.

I’ve been in the sports industry for 20 years and have played at a good standard of netball and I have been a regional runner. I started my career as a sports therapist after university. I then went on to get my teaching qualifications and became a sports lecturer. After reading a sport therapy magazine in 2017 on pilates and rehabilitation of injuries I trained to become an advanced pilates instructor. I now live my life around pilates and the benefits it can bring. I have been teaching pilates for over 5 years to all ages and all backgrounds. I am so passionate to being my love of pilates and share it with others. Joseph Pilates once said “Change happens through movement and movement heals” and pilates is all about movement.
